Clofine
Dairy & Food Products service to the dairy, food and feed
industries spans nearly 100 years. In
the very early part of the 1900’s Charles Clofine
began selling milk, cream, butter, and eggs from a horse drawn
wagon in the rapidly growing Philadelphia marketplace. His
vision was to supply the newly expanding dairy and ice cream
industry in the Eastern United States.
The
company secured an interest in a country creamery in Indiana,
hence becoming their representative for manufactured milk
products including sweet cream, butter and condensed milk.
Today, a century later, Clofine Dairy & Food Products
remains a family owned business with four generation of
managers as part of its history.
Our corporate office is located in southern New Jersey
and is staffed with approximately 20 dedicated professionals.
Clofine Dairy & Food Products has endured over time
and has become one of the largest as well as oldest trading
companies specializing in the marketing of dairy and food
ingredients.
In addition to our primary emphasis of marketing dairy
ingredients the company has made the transition into
manufacturing over the last two decades.
First, in the 1980’s with the inception of our
Soy-Fine™
line of tofu and soy products.
Secondly, in 1990 with the introduction of our
Fine-Mix™ line of custom formulated products.
In the recent past we have also added Risk Management
programs as part of our overall portfolio of services that we
provide to our business partners.
Clofine Dairy and Food Products has evolved over the last 100
years. However,
the fundamental ideals and principals that the company was
built on remain the same.
Charles Clofine’s early vision of becoming a dairy
supplier in the eastern United States has more than been
accomplished. Presently
we are a major dairy and food ingredient supplier serving the
entire United States as well as Canada and Mexico. We have numerous warehouses located in strategic areas
throughout North America.
This allows us to service our larger as well as small
customers as efficiently as possible.
The 21st century will continue to present a host of
challenges as well as opportunities to the food industry.
